Veranstaltungen im IWH Symplectic- and Astrodynamics

The aim of this conference, which will host around 40 people during the dates Jan 25-27 2027, is to gather
experts from the fields of astrodynamics and symplectic geometry in a single place, to investigate new
developments at the intersection of the two fields. These developments include the use of modern tools
from symplectic geometry for space mission design (via continuation of orbit families), as well as the use of
symplectic capacities for orbit determination.
The first encounter in this direction took place in Surrey during 8-10 June 2026, and this workshop is meant
to be a continuation of said event. Speakers are expected to have various backgrounds (from pure to
applied mathematics, to space mission designers and aerospace engineers).
