Arrival from Frankfurt Airport

Depending on your airline, you will be picked up at the meeting point at Terminal 1 or 2 and driven directly to the Science Forum. Advance registration with your airline and flight number is required.

Arrival with the Lufthansa Airport Bus 

The bus stops at the meeting point in Terminal 1, arrivals level, Hall B, Exit B 4-5, and takes you to the Hilton Hotel, Kurfürstenanlage 1-3 in Heidelberg. A valid Lufthansa ticket entitles you to a reduced fare. From there, you can take a taxi to the IWH or take bus 33 towards Köpfel or 35 towards Neckargemünd from Bismarckplatz to the Neckarmünzplatz stop (line 33) or S-BF Altstadt formerly Karlstor (line 35).

Arrival at Heidelberg Central Station

1. Take the S-Bahn (S1 towards Osterburken, S2 towards Mosbach) to the Altstadt S-Bahn station (formerly Karlstor station) (4 minutes). From there, walk to the Wissenschaftsforum (3 minutes). The S-Bahn runs approximately every half hour.

2. From the station forecourt (Kurfürstenanlage), take bus line 33 (towards Ziegelhausen Köpfel) to the Neckarmünzplatz stop (from there, walk up Jakobsgasse to Hauptstraße) or the Altstadt S-Bahn station (formerly Karlstor stop). Travel time approx. 17 minutes. From there, it is a 4-minute walk to the Science Forum. The Altstadt S-Bahn station and Karlstor gate in front of it are located at the end of Hauptstraße, in the immediate vicinity of the Science Forum.

1. A5 motorway
   to the Heidelberg Mitte exit (exit 38). At the end of the motorway, get into the left lane and take the B 37 towards Eberbach/Mosbach along the Neckar River. At the second traffic light after the Old Bridge at Karlstor, turn right onto Hauptstraße (narrow one-way street). The Science Forum is on the left-hand side.
2. A6 motorway
   to the Sinsheim exit, then turn onto the B 37 towards Neckargemünd and drive along the Neckar to Heidelberg. At Karlstor, turn left into Hauptstraße. Then see 1.)
3. Parking
   The nearest parking facilities for conference participants are the P 13 (Karlsplatz/Rathaus) and P 12 (Kornmarkt/Schloss) underground car parks, which are a 3-minute walk from the Science Forum. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the Science Forum.
