International Academic Forum

As the central scientific institution of Heidelberg University, the IWH has been offering scientists the opportunity for international and interdisciplinary exchange of ideas in all areas of research for more than 35 years.

The International Science Forum Heidelberg is primarily available to university members, scientific organizations, and research institutes. However, other groups can also meet there if capacity allows.

We provide several rooms and two apartments for our guests from the university community.

Since 2004, the Klaus-Georg and Sigrid Hengstberger Award has been awarded annually to outstanding young researchers at Heidelberg University (Ruperto Carola). The certificate for the Klaus-Georg and Sigrid Hengstberger Award is presented during the annual ceremony.
